1969 World Championship

Played in Buenos Aires, Argentina

I remember my George Pentaris telling me stories about this tournament.   When he arrived in Argentina, he was assigned a bodyguard.  He told me that a bodyguard never left his side the entire time he was outside of his hotel room. This tournament was an ivitational tournament that was mentioned in Byrne's book on McGoorty. A picture from this event will be added shortly.
